In some ways, Hinduism is the oldest living religion in the world, or at least elements within it stretch back many thousands of years. Yet Hinduism resists its easy definition, partly because of the vast array of practices and beliefs found within it! It is closely associated with other Indian religions, Historically Jainism, Buddhism, Sikhism. Unlike most other religions, Hinduism has no single scripture, and no commonly agreed set of teachings. As said by Swami Vivekananda, “From the agnosticism of the Buddhist to the Atheism of Jains, all have a place in our Hinduism. Sanantana Dharma, Actually has a unique concept of Para Brahman aka BRAHMAN is a Supreme Godhead, Ultimate reality, All merciful, All blissful, Omnipresent, Infinite, Genderless. The purpose of Hinduism is all centred on Realization that ‘I’ am a soul and not the obvious body! And I have to become one with this Eternal Truth. Hinduism is believed to be packed with major diversities, multiple rituals and varied cultures, and yet we are united by the basic rule of Dharma, Sanatana Dharma. There is no English literary equivalent for Sanatana Dharma. As per a well-known publisher ‘’Sanatana Dharma in Hinduism, a term used to denote the ‘eternal’ or absolute set of duties or religiously ordained practices incumbent upon all Hindus regardless of class, caste, or sect.
