Sex, Lies and Two Hindu Gurus: My Journey to Hell and Back presents Karen Jonson’s account of her experiences at a Hindu cult. She explains that she fell prey to the machinations of two men pretending to be men of God and entered a world of cons and deceit. She reveals that after her harrowing experiences at the cult, she escaped to reveal the situation to the world, speaking to journalists, FBI agents and ex-devotees to battle the illusion these two men had managed to build around themselves. This book purports to reveal the true situation behind Ashrams in the United States which claim to teach the philosophy of Hinduism, while operating as little more than clandestine outfits for the fake gurus. About Karen Jonson Karen Jonson is an American writer. She was a former associate of a Hindu Ashram, joining it in early 1990. She spent 15 years in the Ashram, and she was only awakened to the truth when one of her gurus was arrested for rape. She has been freelance writing for most of her life and is currently working towards helping others in similar situations today.
