This can be used during Puja and to apply to the forehead and body for protection during meditation and sleep. Vibhuti has a special vibration that will help you in many ways. Vibhuti (Bhasma) "Bha" implies Bhartsana "to destroy" and "sma" implies smaranam "to remember". The application of Bhasma therefore signifies destruction of the evil and remembrance of the divine. Bhasma is called Vibhuti ("glory") as it gives glory to one who applies it and raksha (protection) The devotees apply bhasma as a tripundra (the form of three lines) on the forehead. Mrityunjaya mantra should be chanted whilst applying ash. Don't forget to include some Ganga Jal ( Ganges Water) with this order.
