Now-a-days the importance of Traditional system of medicine (TSM) has been recognized all over the world. North east India with its rich florist diversity is also inhabited by a large number of tribes and they lead an intricate life totally dependent on forest plants. Considering the richness of plant diversity of the region, the actual documented information is too meagre living a yawning gap in so far as untapped knowledge is concerned, which needs to be bridge.
