The impact of globalization has been gaining momentum in the recent years. The most important feature of global consciousness is “breaking the barriers”. This has given rise to the increasing transdisciplinarity and transnationality. Two important areas that have emerged in the process are feminist literature and diaspora studies. Indian fiction has specially devoted itself to issues and challenges in this regard.
