Super Freakonomics: Global Cooling, Patriotic Prostitutes And Why Suicide Bombers Should Buy Life Insurance is a smart and engrossing book which encourages readers to think outside of the box. Summary Of The Book Super Freakonomics: Global Cooling, Patriotic Prostitutes And Why Suicide Bombers Should Buy Life Insurance is a sequel, or rather a ‘freakquel’, to their hugely popular book called Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything. The book is a bold, funny, and eccentric discussion on current day hot topics, and enables the reader to look at things from a new perspective. This book deals with pressing issues in an unconventional manner. A chapter in this book compares pimps and brokers as both parties seem to be selling their services to the people. It asks unsuspecting questions such as why chemotherapy is recommended so often even though it is so ineffective, the common link between hurricanes, highway deaths and heart attacks, if eating kangaroos can save the planet, and whether it is more dangerous to drink drive or walk while being drunk. Other issues covered are the health conditions of children in the womb during the holy month of Ramadan, the effect of television on crime rates, and alternative ways of solving the global warming crisis. Super Freakonomics: Global Cooling, Patriotic Prostitutes And Why Suicide Bombers Should Buy Life Insurance includes an explanatory note where the authors admit to lying in their previous book. The book asks hard-hitting and unexpected questions, and challenges the way we think. The authors have mixed smart storytelling with interesting thoughts. About The Authors Steven D.
