Of the three systems of Astrology-Parasari, Jaimini and Tajika (Annual Horoscopy), the later has been found as an important aspect of Hindu Astrology in delineating annual result very accurately, solely and as a complimentary to Parasari system. Although the aspects and the terminology used in some of the divisional charts and Tajik Yogas is akin to those used by Greeks and Arabians, it does not mean that Hindu Astrologers like Kesava and Neelakantha were not aware of Varshakundali. In olden days of Mercantilism, when free exchange of goods and services dominated the trade, the exchange of knowledge can not be ruled out. It is, therefore, immaterial for us whether the Tajikashastra originated in Greek and Arabian countries or in India but it is generally used by Hindu Astrologers despite its being western oriented. An annual chart is prepared for the day on which the Sun returns to the same longitude as \'He\' was on the birth day of the native. This clearly indicates and sounds as if predictions in Tajikashastra are solely based on Sun\'s movement and hence of western origin. But a look into the works of Hindu Astrologers and a study of Tajika Neelkanthi, Hayan Ratna and Tajikashastra of Kesava would clearly put across the above theory as a myth. It is so because any reading of an annual horoscope is based on birth chart. It would be at least another form of divisional chart, of course, devising different principles and integrating the findings with those found in the birth chart.
