Break-in recommendation for your subwooferSubwoofers are electro-mechanical devices. The voice coil assembly has electrical winding, and it mechanically moves the diaphragm and the damping mechanism of spider. Binding adhesive is an integral part of subwoofer construction. The diaphragm, spider and the metallic chassis are joined together with special purpose adhesive glue.7 to 8 hours of break-in period for your subwoofer is recommended to loosen up and even out the stressed areas, fresh out of manufacturing.Box VolumesBox/Enclosure volumes are recommended values. Customers are encouraged to use their own softwares/methods using the TS parameters mentioned above and calculate box volumes. These volumes may depend upon design of box, viz round ports or squarish ports, tuning frequency and finally sealed, ported, 4th,5th or 6th order bandpass.Recommended Box VolumesWe recommend 35 L of round ported box volume for accurate bass and roll off. Alternatively, rectangular front slotted cabinets are available from Fredo with 23 L volumes (35 x 28 x 25 cms) on Amazon.Front slots will take lesser volumes than round ports because of better air pumping efficiency and recommended for movies and music setups
