Tenida Samagra (Bengali) is a collection of short stories and novellas on Tenida, a character created by Bengali author Narayan Gangopadhyay. Summary of the Book Bhojohori Mukherji alias Tenida is the central character of Tenida Samagra (Bengali). The stories, novels, anthologies and essays included in the book are based on him. He is honest, daring, and has a presence of mind that helps him in difficult situations despite being weak in academics. The stories revolve around his adventures with his friends Kyabla (Kushal Mitra), Pyalaram (Kamalesh Banerji) and Habul Sen. The four of them form the local gang of which Tenida is the leader. Together, they set out to solve mysteries, but instead get into different comical situations. However, they do manage to solve each of these mysteries. Tenida has been portrayed in the stories as an airhead and a bit of a bully. His exceptionally large nose, compared to the Mount Mainak, is also mentioned to add a comedic angle to his description. The stories are narrated by Pyalaram and they unfold from his perspective. The stories are set in a neighbourhood in Calcutta called Potoldanga. The group also travel across Bengal to places like Duars and Hajaribag for solving mysteries.
