The Bad Boys of Bokaro Jail, written by Chetan Mahajan, is a moving and thought-provoking story of an executive who was unjustly sent to prison. The author asserts that he ended up learning the lesson of a lifetime there. Summary of the Book Mahajan was only three months into Everonn, an IIT coaching chain based in Chennai, when he was arrested under the Indian Penal Code Sections 34, 406 and 420, after being accused of fraud. But he didn’t let the incident depress him, instead he found time for self-introspection in the prison and even started writing down his experiences there. In The Bad Boys of Bokaro Jail, he explains about picking the best prison ward, how he made friends who could help him get mobile phones and better meals, how he trained for a marathon in the small prison yard, among other experiences of discovering the prison system.
