Many Wikipedians believe that the problem of how to recruit and keep skilled editors, given the anarchic and often irritating character of Wikipedia, is one that has to be addressed. Based on the hundreds of articles that need expert attention, it is obvious that there is a need to promote their involvement and that the community must provide accommodations for them. Some professional editors have resigned from Wikipedia due to their dissatisfaction with the organization's rules and procedures. To establish if such withdrawals have happened in large enough numbers to be considered worrisome, no research has been carried out to this end. Nonetheless, the impression alone may be sufficient to raise concerns that content on Wikipedia is not produced to a high level of accuracy or completeness as a result of a lack of involvement by subject matter experts, which may raise legitimate concerns.
