"The Fortunes of Perkin Warbeck: A Romance" is a historical novel written by Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, the acclaimed author of "Frankenstein." However, there seems to be some confusion here. Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley did not write a novel titled "The Fortunes of Perkin Warbeck."Perkin Warbeck was a historical figure who claimed to be Richard of Shrewsbury, one of the "Princes in the Tower" and the rightful heir to the English throne during the reign of King Henry VII. Warbeck's claim to the throne led to the Warbeck Rebellion in the late 15th century.
