The third edition provides complete coverage for the care of the unwell child. It has retained those features of previous editions which readers have found useful but much new material has been incorporated. An individualized approach to care has been given throughout and a guide included for assessing the child's and the family's needs with the identification of potential problems. In describing clinical procedures, care has been taken to adhere to principles and nursing research when giving a rationale for action. This book should be of interest to student nurses following paediatric care courses, especially the paediatric branch of the Project 2000 course, practising paediatric nurses.
