While Fallon was researching criminals and what led them to behave the way they did, he found a pattern of their DNA and genes in his family and one thing led to another, and he also found out that he had the same pattern. How could he have such thoughts? How could he be a criminal? There is no way he could be a psychopath, wanting to kill people. Also, does biology account for these changes and influence behaviour? That is the crux of the book, not to forget, the dark side in all of us, if there ever could be one or already is. Fallon’s examples throughout the book and his research are crisp and insightful.
