The Ship of Adventure is the sixth book in Enid Blyton’s The Adventure Series of children’s books. Summary of the Book The four children, Philip, Jack, Dinah and Lucy-Ann set off on a cruise with Mrs. Mannering. They leave Bill behind because Mrs. Mannering believes that he is the prime reason for all their adventures. The ship is set to call at Portugal, Madeira, French Morocco, Spain, Italy and the Aegean Islands. However, Bill’s absence does little to reduce their risk of having an adventure and Mrs. Mannering calls upon him to watch over them when Aunt Polly calls in sick.
