The book is about the struggles that a girl faces in her daily life. It relates something very dark that she had faced before, fought her demons all throughout. She feels drained as if a devil has sucked out all of her energy in every possible way. So, once she had enough, she seeks her way to writing in her blank pages as her love grows more clearly realizing her self worth at last. The title is kept such "The Shrunken Black Rose" because we appreciate the beauty of red roses that indicates deep sense of love and Romanticism but we don't give much reference to black roses. For author, black rose is a rare thing beauty. This book is written with the objective of having a deep perspective behind the true meaning of the poems while the readers comprehend it.
