THEY CALL ME THE LOU REED OF POETRY got it’s title fromthe comments of an audience member one Saturday afternoonin a pub hosting spoken word. The book is a series of short,untitled poems some of which are based around legends of themusic industry. The poems are strong on imagery, some readlike pop songs, written in cafes and parks and filled with thelives of ordinary people.
