About Samanth Subramanian Samanth Subramanian is an Indian journalist. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University and Columbia University, he has written for: the Guardian, the New Yorker, the New York Times, Mint, the Far Eastern Economic Review, Foreign Policy, New Republic, Foreign Affairs, The National and the Hindu. He has previously written: Following Fish: Travels Around the Indian Coast which won the 2010 Shakti Bhatt First Book Prize in India and was shortlisted for the 2013 André Simon Award in the United Kingdom.
