The roots of present education embedded in the past. The future of it is also dependent on it. Our future is closely related to our ancient thoughts, ideals, faith and myths. The authors contends that many aspects of Indian philosophy have much to contribute to the strengthening of the foundations which should provided to the younger generation. In the present book an attempt has been made to acquint the readers with the wisdom of the great educator's, educational thoughts and educational implications of the sacred literatures. The book aims to provide various perspectives and thoughts of edcuation to the readers. This book has been mainly designed to serve the requirements of the students and graduate, master and research levels. In preparation of this book the authors had to refer to the works of other authors and information sources. The authors feels a deep sense of gratitude for incorporating their ideas in the text. About the Author Dr. S Sabu after his graduation did M.A. (Sociology), M.A. (Philosophy), M.Ed., Ph.D (Education), UGC-NET (Education) and P.G. Diploma in Guidance and Counselling. Apart from multi-disciplinary academic background, Dr. S. Sabu has varied experience in the field of Teacher Education. He has presented many papers on various aspects of Education at national and international level. Presently he is Principal of St. Gregorious Teachers' Training College, Meenangadi, Wayanad District, Kerala. He is research supervisor at various Universities in India, and also counselling psychologist. Ismail Thamarasseri had his school education in his home village, Ponmala and had his first Graduation from University of Calicut. He got his B.Ed. And M.Ed. From Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. He did his Masters in Sociology and English from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu. He was qualified UGC-NET in Education and Sociology. He is associated with many socio-cultural organizations.
