Tso and La: A Journey in Ladakh is a travel book by Vikramajit Ram. Summary of the Book In search of a muse, Vikramajit Ram joins his friend Manoj Bawa on a drive to Ladakh. Early in the summer of 2009, they enter the Himalayas just as the passes are opened for the season. Through the journey, his quirky company and the scenery of this otherworldly escape offer a salve for his tired senses. Atop the Highest Motorable Pass in the World, he begins a travel journal about his trip. In this book, he blends art and architecture, natural history and biography in a tribute to a secretive part of India and the world. The two friends find innumerable oddities which bring that part of the world closer to their hearts. 8,200 kilometers later, they return home and one of them begins a new job while the other begins an odyssey of words. About Vikramajit Ram Vikramajit Ram is an Indian writer based in Bangalore. A graduate of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, he has also written Elephant Kingdom: Sculptures from Indian Architecture and Dreaming Vishnus: A Journey through Central India.
