Venkat is eight years old. He lives in Hyderabad with his parents, little sister Pragya and his grandfather. Venkat loves his family and enjoys being a big brother. He’s quite good at it too! Venkat tries his best to be good. But once in a while, just like all of us, he gets into trouble. Venkat learns some important lessons in these stories. He learns to own up when he breaks a rule in “Venkat’s Cartwheel”. In “Venkat and the Kittens”, he learns about caring for animals responsibly. “Venkat the Magician” is about a small choice having unexpected and funny consequences. When Venkat has a “Terrible Thursday”, he learns that many problems can be solved by talking to his family. And finally, Venkat learns about life outside a city when he visits his grandparents’ farm in “Venkat at the Farm”.
