Microfiber is a polyester and nylon (polyamide) fiber that is used to make fabric. The fiber is split many times smaller than human hair. This makes it a superior tool for cleaning and germ removal because it is able to penetrate cracks and crevasses that cotton cloths or paper towels are not able to reach. The increased surface area of the fibers and their shape also allows them to absorb up to 7 to 8 times their weight in liquid. The fibers generate friction which when moved across a surface and attract dust while containing it, rather than spreading it around or releasing it into the air when dry dusting. Unlike other conventional microfiber cleaning cloths/ towels out there, our premium microfiber cloths can be used on a wide array of surfaces such as vehicle interiors/ exteriors, glass components (window panes, stain glass, glass table tops, glass utensils), utensils (all metal utensils), home appliances (washing machines, ACs, fridges, stoves), kitchen countertops (marble, granite), electronic gadgets/ appliances (computers, laptops, tablets, smartphones, LCDs) and much more. Microfibers are able to attach themselves to even the smallest, most microscopic dirt particles—ones that normal cloth fibers generally brush past. If forces were visible, you'd be able to see that there are adhesive forces (the forces of attraction) between microfibers and dirt. These forces are called van der Waals forces after their discoverer, Nobel-prize winning Dutch chemist Johannes Diderik van der Waals. Although there is only a microscopic amount of van der Waals force between one microfiber and any given dirt particle, remember that there are millions of microfibers in a cloth, so the overall sticking effect is magnified dramatically. That's why dirt, dust, and other stuff can be seamlessly captured by microfiber cloths.
