Adolf Hitler's policies during his time as the leader of Nazi Germany had devastating consequences, resulting in the systematic persecution and murder of millions of innocent individuals, often on the grounds of their perceived racial, political, or social affiliations. Among the targeted groups, non-Jewish Polish civilians, Soviet prisoners of war, political opponents, homosexuals, the physically and mentally disabled, Jehovah's Witnesses, Adventists, and trade unionists suffered immense brutality and loss of life.
