When Bugsie Ran Away from Home is a lovely children’s book compiled by Shuchi Naum. Summary of the Book Bugsie is a 10 year-old bunny rabbit. He pays no attention to the cautions of his parents about misusing the Army robot prototype, Robocop, and now the whole country of Macadamia is under the intimidation of elimination by their cunning enemy, Foxville. To make matters worse, Bugsie’s entire family goes missing. Macadamia is a country created entirely for rabbits, squirrels, and guinea pigs among other small animals, with an intention of saving them from extinction. The humans have over-populated the earth and live in high rises. Hence, the garden-dwellers face a bleak future in a gardenless planet, and hence Macadamia is their only hope. Scared of facing the magnitude of consequences of his mistake, Bugsie runs away from home. The book details the little bunny’s journey of self-discovery through this difficult time. He meets new people, faces his fears, has many adventures and finally, being an unlikely hero, goes on to defend his country and his father’s honour. Together with his friends, Bugsie beats Foxville in a battle on their own land. About Shuchi Naum Shuchi Naum has been a media professional since she graduated with an MBA degree. She never thought she would do anything else until she discovered that she was to become a mother soon! She started writing this book the very day she got the big news, writing it for her daughter, to teach her that everyone has fears and doubts, but with determination and willpower one can attain whatever one sets her/his heart on. She currently lives in Boston, United States.
