It is the year 1583, in Portuguese Goa. Young Damu and Pooja fall in love and decide to get married. The only challenges they foresee are to receive parental blessings and to match their horoscopes. Little do they know, of the web of socio-religious and political turmoil that will interfere with their plans. Their marriage is put on hold.
