When Faith Turned Red is the translation of the famous Hindi novel, Ujale Ki Talash. Narayan Swami decides to train his nephew Srini as the future priest of his beloved temple, offering him as well his daughter’s hand-in-marriage. Comrade Bhushnam is planning a great career for his son, Surendran, unaware of where his heart truly lies. Lalita, the young and beautiful daughter of the industrialist Ramapat, is mesmerized by Bhushnam and his ideology. Srini, stunned by the corrupt religious practices he witnesses at the temple, runs away from it. About the Author Sharad Pagore has written several novels and short stories in Hindi. His stories have been published in India Today, Naya Gyanodaya, Outlook, Saptahik, Dainik, Hindustan, and several other newspapers and magazines. His literary work has also been translated and published in Malyalam, Telugu, Oriya, Marathi, Urdu and Gujarati. He is the recipient of an award from the Akhil Bharatiya Bhasha Sahitya Sammelan, Bhopal.
