Dr. Archana Singh analyses the women of Shashi Deshpande's short stories as trying to find a niche for themselves, a space to call their own, a voice to express thoughts and feelings, to live a life according to their wishes and desires to fulfill their potentials as human beings. It is a book which leads men to reflect about themselves in relation to women and women to connect with themselves and understand men. About the Author Dr. Archana Singh was born in Sikandrabad, Raebareli, UP. She is a lecturer in English in Baisawara P.G.College, Lalganj, Raebareli, UP. She attained her Ph.D in English Literature at the age of 25. Passionate about writing, she has published three papers in different journals.
