She previously worked in the TV industry in Mumbai, before moving to the United States with her family. Being an ardent fan of murder mysteries, Varsha initially intended on writing books on serial killers, but decided against it as she finds it difficult to hurt or kill anyone, even on paper. She finished her schooling at St. Mary’s Convent in Kanpur, and completed her B.A. (Honours) degree in Political Science at the Indraprastha College, New Delhi. She has also authored Xcess Baggage and the prequel to this book, Right Fit Wrong Shoe.
