The book embodies the X-ray investigation to compare the elemental concentration of in vitro proliferated callus tissues and that of the naturally grown plants in order to explore the possibility of developing callus cultures as a viable alternative source of phytochemicals of pharmaceutical relevance. Present book entitled “ X-ray Spectroscopic Analysis of Plant and Callus” is based on the multi-elemental analysis of two selected medicinal plants named Hemidesmus indicus (L.) R. Br. and Hybanthus enneaspermus (L.) F. V. Muell, available in Orissa and whose roots have been ethnomedicinally used against diabetes, served as the experimental material. We are very sure this book will be a good text for the students and teachers working in the field of Plant Sciences. Again, Researchers from diverse area viz. Pharmaceutical Science, Bio-Physics, Bio-technology, Tissue culture, Plant Science, Tissue Engineering, Botany etc. can find this as a reference book.
