Lakadong Turmeric Powder – World’s best turmeric powder Introducing the world’s most exotic Lakadong turmeric(curcuma longa), in its purest form, all the way from  Meghalaya. The Looms & Weaves family are proud to have caught hold of the wondrous rhizome, also known for its high curcumin content, that renders the medicinal, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties to the spice. The curcumin content is about 7.94% in Lakadong variety, as compared to 2-6% in the conventional variety that is available in the world market. Every ounce of the turmeric sold, lends a helping hand to the upliftment of the poor gatekeepers of the medicinal spice, residing in the far east.

• We source lakadong turmeric from the organic farmers of Meghalaya. We use only organically grown turmeric processed without the use of toxic pesticides, irradiation, or genetically engineered products. Our products are strictly grown for domestic use and not for any commercial purpose, where only the surplus is collected and traditionally processed from collection to drying to packaging. We make it powdered in traditional ways, and don’t extract any oils from our spices.

Since no preservatives additives or insecticides added, there is a chance of forming insects /fungus on spice powders which is quite natural.
